Worst show ever: Dolce&Gabbana Summer 2013 Mens Fashion Show

I just watched about 4 minutes of the Dolce&Gabbana Summer 2013 Mens Fashion Show. Why only 4 minutes? Because the show and the clothes are just awful. The music was driving me insane, the clothes didn't seem to fit the models (thats what you get when you want to save money by using children as models) The collection overall wasn't anything exciting at all, the only thing I liked were the printed blazers and shirts, but I they were very Versace so again nothing exciting. Also I totally don't get why they used children as models to sell clothes that are marketed to grown ups WTF?! I guess they wanted to save some money. Overall the whole show just felt and looked really cheap and tacky. Another thing that I don't get, why would you have such a long catwalk if the models are gonna use only half of it, if I would be sitting at the end of that catwalk I would be pissed off. Below is a video from the show, let me know what you think about it.

The night when I met Marilyn Monroe and OOTN

Yesterday I attended a private viewing of exclusive collection of photographs ranging from Marilyn Monroe’s early years as an aspiring actress through to her rise to international stardom. The event took place at Getty Images Gallery at Westfield Stratford City. It was an amazing evening, filled with glamour, great wine and great music. Also there was even a chance to meet a Marilyn look alike. Below are some photos from the event.

Dress code for the night was glamorous. I decided to keep it simple with a classic white shirt and a bow tie. I also added purple scarf for a bit of colour. Since it was bit chilly I had to wear a coat.

With coat.

Without coat.
I also wore my favourite watch of all time by Accurist.

Shoes.

Shirt and blazer - H&M
Trousers, coat and shoe - Primark
Scarf - Hugo Boss
Bow tie - Tiger
Watch - Accurist

Prada Phone by LG

As I'm due to upgrade my phone really soon I have started by looking at all different smartphones that are available on the market at the moment, but this one in particular caught my eye. Why? Simple, its Prada baby! This is the third time that Prada has collaborated with LG to create a phone. At first when I heard about this phone I just said to my self; yet another nice looking phone with crapy features. But oh boy, I was wrong, this baby is running the latest version of Android Gingerbread (I love that name; Gingerbread) Let's have a look what Prada claims about this phone:

"Prada and LG unveil a new smartphone
The Prada Phone by LG 3.0 boasts a 1.0GHz Dual-Core/Dual-Channel architecture for high-speed performance, and dual-band wi-fi for high-speed surfing. Prada Phone by LG 3.0 comes equipped with an 8MP camera and up to 8 GB of user memory for user enjoyment.
The Prada Phone by LG 3.0 boasts a package of desirable features.
The device has the LG’s High Brightness NOVA Display at 800-nit, with a 4.3inch screen.
The device is amongst the slimmest at 8.5mm.
Equipped with Android’s Gingerbread OS, with an upgrade to Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich, users will enjoy full access to Android’s Marketplace.

Design
A simple sketch was the inspiration behind what has become an elegant concept, story and product.
Prada has worked hand- in -hand with LG to deliver the world’s most stylish smartphone, tailored to a discerning, fashion-conscious audience.
Details are important and the Prada Phone by LG follows a long tradition of aesthetic codes and craftsmanship that is at the heart of all Prada products. The Saffiano leather on the back cover of the phone is reminiscent of Prada’s leather goods and provides a stunning contrast to the chromed metal present on the phone’s frame and camera."

As you can see from the pictures this is very Prada, its simple and elegant. I really like how theres no buttons under the screen, just touch buttons. My main concern is the Black and White interface, its nice but as far as I know theres no option to switch to a colour version of the interface if you want to. Overall I think that  this is a very nice smartphone. Will I get it? I'm still not sure.

My top 5 Fashion and Make Up crimes.

1. Orange face is just a no no, I don't see a reason why anyone would want to walk around with a orange looking face. Its ok if your face looks orange due to a bad fake tan, it can happen to anyone, but wearing a foundation that is too dark and looks orange on you is just a massive make up crime for me.

2. Eyebrows drawn of with black eyeliner. I don't mind people shaving they eyebrows off, but before you do it get some practice on how to draw them back on. Below is a great tutorial.

3.Blonde hair and strong black drawn on eyebrows just looks wrong. If you need to fill in your eyebrow choose a pencil or an eyeshadow that will match your hair colour and ideally something thats lighter.

4. Legins and short tops. No matter how amazing your bum is, lets keep it covered in the public. Short tops and leggings just don't go together.

5. Suite/Smart outfit and trainers is just a complete no no for me.

"Karl" by Karl Lagerfeld - The New Mix ft. Anja Rubik

"The New Mix" is a promotional video for the new, more affordable line by Karl Lagerfeld called "Karl". I absolutely love the sparkly jacket that Anja wears. The range is available from NET-A-PORTER and they ship internationally.

Another haul and few bargains.

I didn't mean to go shopping today, but I had to go to Westfield in Stratford to get a birthday gift for my cousin, so I decided to had a look around the shops and see if I will like anything.

First I went into Zara and let me just tell you, Zara has the best sales ever, about 85% of the stock was on sale, AMAZING, I know. However I only picked up a t-shirt, I love Zara t-shirts, they are really good quality. The one I picked up is dark blue colour light jersey and it very sheer, you can see skin though it. LOVE IT. On and it has a very deep crew/v neck. Original price was £17.99 but I paid £4.99.

Then I went into Topman, I wanted to get a dark denim shirt, but I didn't found anything that grabbed my attention. However I ended up getting two necklaces and a ring. First necklace is definitely a statement necklace. I was looking for something like this for a while now. Best thing about it is the price, originally it was £30 but it was a £1! in sale. Thats what I call a bargain.

Yeah, I know its crazy and I love it. I also got another necklace which is more of a every day necklace, at least for me. It also was a £1.

Here are some photos where you can see the necklaces on me. The picture quality is not so great because I took them with my I-Sight on my MacBook.

Last thing I got from Topman is this ring. Again it was a £1.

I also went into Primark as I was looking for some decor stuff for my room, but I didn't find anything that I liked. I just got this brown braided belt. It will look perfect with black skinny jeans and sheer blue shirt. £3.

I went into Mac, which wasn't a good idea because I knew that there is no chance that I will walk out of Mac store empty handed. Actually I wanted to get the Mac Full Coverage cream foundation, but its available only from the Pro Store in Soho. Instead I decided to get my favourite foundation of all times; Mac Studio Fix Fluid. I got it in NC15 which is a perfect match for me. The make up artist that was serving me asked me twice if I wanted to get the pump for it, but I was like "no I have one at home", but as soon as I got home it turned out that its just disappeared and I don't have it. Oh and if you are not familiar with Mac and you thinking why I'm talking about a pump, basically Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation doesn't come with a pump and you have to buy one.

Zara t-shirt - £4.99

Topman skull necklace - £1

Topman gold necklace - £1

Topman ring - £1

Primark  brown braided belt - £3

Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation in NC15 - £19.50

H&M Spring 2012 Favs

H&M is my favourite high street retailer, I just love them, they have great clothes at even better prices. I have recieved the H&M Spring 2012 catalogue and I have picked my favourite looks and pieced from the Spring collection. You can order the catalogue for free here.

I love love the cover!

I love this look, its very simple but look cool and smart at the same time.

I really like grandad top, they can look very casual and smart, depends what you wear with it. It seams like H&M is the only high street retailer that does them at reasonable price or even the only high street retailer that sels them.

I think that this is a perfect outfit for a casual lunch or dinner with friends or family in town and also its perfect for Spring. It would probably look really good with a tanned skin, fake tan time!

Those shorts and the top are on my must-have Spring/Summer list!

I love accessories probably even more than clothes because I think that the right accessories can transfer every outfit from boring to fab. An those shoes are definitely a spring must have.

Those desert boots are just amazing, I saw them if H&M few days ago, but they didn't had my size in stock, but I will definitely get them at some point.

Tag:Whats in my bag+What I take blog pictures with.

I decided to do a "What's in my bag" as I love read and watching them. I think that the content  of a bag tells a lot about the owner, mine is pretty basic since I started carrying less stuff in my bag because my bag was ridiculously heavy.

Starting from left top corner:

-Purple notebook
-Black wallet with gold studs from Primark
-Kleenex, Chewing gum
-Sunglasses case (aviator sunglasses inside)
-Blue coin purse from Oasis in which I meant to keep all my receipts and coupons...but I never do and they just lay around in my bag.
-Hand sanitizer
-Small bottle of perfume, this one is Photo Karl Lagerfeld
-Carmex and CocaCola Lip Smaker
-Flash memory
-Pen
-iPod which I rarely use, I keep it in my bag incase my iPhone battery dies
-Headphones

I don't keep my iPhone in my bag, I usually have it in my pocket or in my hand, I have this strange habit that I just hold my iPhone in my hand, even when I'm not using it. I almost dropped it so many time that its not even funny.

Also I sometimes carry my digital camera in my bag, but I usually use my iPhone to take pics, my camera is a very basic bridge camera(I think thats what they are called) Its the Fujifilm Finepix S1500. I use it to take pictures for my blog.

My bag is just a basic leather weekend bag. It has two handles, shoulder strap and a front pocket which I never use. Its from the H&M 2011 summer collection and it's not available right now, but I saw it in the H&M S/S 2012 catalogue. When I bought it was £29.99 and its also £29.99 in the catalogue.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, please share, like, tweet and comeback for more. Thank You :-)
